Mrs. Boyd
Hello! I will be teaching Grades 1-3 Math, with 3rd grade being my homeroom. I am very excited to be part of Hornet Nation and teach your child. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having an amazing year!
I am married to Marty Boyd, and we have two children. Cheyenne is our oldest, and she and her husband live in Alice. They have 3 children, Amaris, Eli, and Ana. I am a very proud Tutu to these wonderful grandkids. My youngest daughter, Whitney, and her husband live in Bronte. No children yet!
I grew up in Hawley and attended ASU. I have taught a range of grades and subjects in my 31-year career. I truly love children and want to see all students succeed.
The rules for my classroom are very basic.
Eyes on speaker
Ears are listening
Mouth is quiet
Hand is raised
Words are kind
Dojo points will be given for good behavior. If your child has less than 3 marks for the 6 weeks they will be recognized at the 6-week award ceremony.
I will use Class Dojo to communicate with you. You can reach me through Class Dojo or my email [email protected] or call and leave a message at (325)282-2311. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
In our classroom, we don’t just want to learn to count but want to learn what counts. You’ll find us working hard on stuff that matters, like resilience, empathy, compassion, self-control, motivation, cooperation, looking for some sparkly answers to some really big questions. In fact, you could just say, we are working on being AWESOME!
